News from Montreal - September 18-20. 2009

Wayne & I had a great time in Montreal at the Chomedy show. Running in a double ring on Astro Turf was a lot of fun for both of us. Wayne took 2 nice placements: a 4th under Janet Buchanan and a 2nd under Guy Jeavons. We took the opportunity to add to his health clearances by having his hearing tested (Brainstem Auditory Evoked Response). One test suffices for the lifetime of the dog. His hearing is normal. Wayne is # 1 BSD by a very comfortable margin.

Oakville - day 2

Wayne took a Group 3 under judge Rita Walker.

Oakville show - September 11, 2009

Wayne took a Group 4 today under judge Marie Merchant (Australia). He dealt with wasps and a bitch in season in his ring like a seasoned show dog. Good boy!

Markham shows- August 30, 2009

Wayne finished off this 4-day set of shows with his 3rd Group 2nd under John Reeve-Newson DVM. Special thanks to all 4 of our judges for their kind comments about Wayne, and to our fellows exhibitors for their support and insight. Thanks also to Sheila Benoit, our cheerleader and picture motivator. Wayne is moving up in the Herding Group, and is # 1 Belgian in Canada.

Markham shows - Aug. 28 & 29, 2009

Wayne took 2 nice Group 2's on Friday and Saturday, under judges Deb Graffmann (Ontario) and Michel Chaloux (Quebec). We appreciate the support and camaraderie extended to us by so many members of the dog show world: judges, fellow exhibitors and spectators. Special thanks to fellow breeder Sheila Benoit who has supported us at ringside, and who has helped to motivate Wayne for his handsome show pictures.

Markham show - Aug. 27

The first day of this 4-day show was very good for Wayne. He took a Group 1 under judge Morley Thornton. He rested a few hours after BIS competition, and then proudly took his blue rosette to show to the seniors at the residence where he volunteers as a St. John Ambulance Therapy Dog. He makes a big difference in their lives, and they love hearing about his adventures in the ring. Thanks to Mr. Thornton for giving Wayne this wonderful win, and for rewarding him as a total dog.
